The best recommendation for a restaurant is to answer the question: would you eat with us again? Yes. Even though I waited an hour for our order and nobody warned us, I would go back to eat the pasta again. Nevertheless, a special thank you to the waiter Amad.

It's been a while, but I have been out about and now I went to a restaurant called Cicero.
So to be fully honest I have to say that the place looks nice! The decor, lights and atmosphere is great! Very cozy, very romantic!
The food 🍝 was pretty good too! The price is pretty good, around 170:- sek for each pasta dish, the servings are huge which is nice and you feel really full and satisfied afterwards.
The service was quite quick we very only 3 groups inside the restaurant, it was a slow Wednesday from what I noticed and on that I have a side note.. The waitress had a way, I thought she was friendly mostly, however she called me nicknames which I thought was a bit weird though.
We also had a small incident within the restaurant with the owner.. He most likely feels it's my fault and it is what it is.
What my point is, when it's a service business you tend to give the best service/experience possible for the customer. From that information the restaurant should make it the best outcome possible for me as a guest in my opinion.
The issue itself was solved not the smoothest way after a discussion where I think the owner should've just handled it better overall.
At the end my girlfriend who has worked in a bank told the owner a tip for the future but instead of taking it, letting it go, the owner responded with a snarky comment "Let me give you a tip back!"
I have never heard of this from a restaurant owner before.. Where you've easily could've fixed the problem saved our experience instead it got to be plagued by the situation and also the owners comment..

I would give more stars if possible. Ahmad is the perfect host, and what a fabulous atmosphere! Just moved here from Chicago and was just telling my husband on the way to Cicero how much I missed steak! Nice cut and temperature was spot on. Found the perfect place and much more! Drinks were perfect. Spicy Ginger is great! Appetizers were amazing, shrimp and burrata. I had the most perfect steak, and my husband had the risotto. Great wine suggestions. My favorite place.
Great food and amazing service. We had scampi pasta, haddock (kolja) and fried ice cream as dessert and everything was cooked perfectly.
The pasta was lacking salt but the sauce compensated for it. When we provided the feedback, the way it was received made the difference so the place deserves 5 stars :)
Atmosphere and servicr is good. Portion size are ok but pinsa or pizzas are almost without any material only bread and tomato sause with cheese and hint of sausage do i was wondering why i should pay 210 sek for that. In chicken Pasta , chicken and mushroom are cooked not stirred fried and almost tasteless but cream was good other wise not edible.
We were met by very friendly servers who were open to our family with kids and a dog. We got great service throughout and the food was delicious! The tiramisu at the end melted in my mouth and all 8 of us were truly happy!
Came for a dinner with colleagues, and was very pleasantly surprised. The attention of the staff was fantastic, food came fast and it was really delicious.
Tried the Papardelle Boscaiola, an absolute delicacy of sauce... Will repeat absolutely for sure. The Tiramisu was also very nice, not too sweet (perfect!). An absolute recommendation in downtown Gothenburg
